LAGRANGE,Georgia -- Mary Louise (Winn) Purvis, formerly of Bartley, Nebraska, died in LaGrange, Georgia, Aug. 22, 2013.

She was born Aug. 2, 1920, to George and Nellie Winn in Richmond, Virginia. She married Clinton "Pete" Purvis in Bartley in 1944.

She did volunteer work at Warm Springs Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Manchester Woman's Club, First Baptist Church of Warm Springs, Georgia, Bartley Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary of Bartley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Purvis; parents; two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include six nieces in Georgia, Florida and Mississippi, Marcia Beeman of Nampa,Idaho and Wanda White of Cambridge, Nebraska and three nephews of Georgia, Florida and South Carolina and Gene Purvis of Bartley.

Funeral services were Aug. 24, 2013, in Manchester, Georgia. Interment was at Manchester City Cemetery in Georgia.

Memorials may be given to LaGrange,Georgia Hospice.

Smith-Steele-Meadows Funeral Home in Manchester, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
