SALINA, Kansas -- Anna P. Vahling, 93, of Salina, formerly of New Almelo, Kansas, died Tuesday (Aug. 13, 2013), at Salina.

She was born July 3, 1920, in Angelus, Kansas to John G. and Frances A. (Swingler) Vahling. She was raised on a farm at New Almelo. She attended school in New Amelo and Salina.

She was a caregiver. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Salina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John G. and Frances (Swingler) Vahling and six siblings, John A., Joseph, Louis, and Mary Ann Vahling, Frances Osthoff and Agnes Marx.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Wessel of Oakley and Josephine Werth of Hays, in addition to her nephews and nieces.

Services are Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Almelo, with the Rev. Vincent Thu Laing officiating. Interment is at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time at the parish hall in New Almelo
