CULBERTSON, Nebraska -- Kathleen Laurel Tuller age 65 of Culbertson, died at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney on July 17, 2013.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1948, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Joseph and Lorraine A. (Michalski) Smith. The family moved to the Denver area where Kathy graduated from high school and later attended three years of college in Greeley, Colorado.
She was married to Albert Brunner and to this union a daughter, Michelle was born. On June 27, 1975 she married Larry Tuller at Cheyenne, Wyoming, to this union a daughter, DaNita, was born.
Kathy enjoyed archery shooting and participated in matches across the state and even in the Cornhusker Games. She was a torch runner in Torch Run Across Nebraska for the Cornhusker Games in her wheelchair, carrying the heavy torch for a mile. She liked to sit in Barnett Park and watch the ducks and geese. She participated in the Walk for Life Cancer as a survivor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Vance Brunner; a daughter, Latisha and three brothers, David, James and Daniel Smith.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Larry of Culbertson; two daughters, Michele Hall of McCook and DaNita and husband, Danny Robinson of San Antonio, Texas; step daughter, Lisa and husband, Jamie Cross of Harrisburg, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Joan and husband, John Moline of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Linda Smith of Denver, Colorado, and a brother, Ed Smith of Denver, Colorado.
A memorial service will be at the United Methodist Church in Culbertson on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Reverend Alisa Parde officiating. Inurnment will be in the Culbertson Cemetery in Culbertson. Friends may leave on line condolences at herrmannfh.com.
In lieu of flowers a special memorial has been established in Kathy's name.
