STEVENSVILLE, Montana -- Elizabeth Jane Hayward, 91, of Stevensville, Montana, died June 19, 2013, in Stevensville.

She was born in Palisade, Nebraska, on Aug. 29, 1921, to Floyd and Mabel Miller. She lived in Palisade and then in McCook until 1966, moving to Boulder, Colorado, residing also in Longmont, Colorado and subsequently in Stevensville. She married Kenneth Glen Hayward on Nov. 28, 1938, near Palisade.

After moving to Boulder, she was the assistant manager at Hatch's Bookstore and then at Blue Mountain Arts, retiring from there.

She was a member of Palisade Bible Chapel, Boulder Bible Chapel for more than 40 years and the Stevensville Bible Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Karen Frecks; parents, Floyd and Mabel Miller; brothers, Warren, Marion, Paul and Richard Miller; sisters, Evelyn Phillips and Doris Magorian and granddaughter, Haley Hayward.

Survivors include son, Richard and wife, Beverly Hayward of Missoula, Montana; son-in-law, John Frecks of Berthoud, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Ardith Miller of Westminster, Colorado and Bertha Miller of South Gate, California; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Services were June 27, 2013, at Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville.

Interment was at the Stevensville Cemetary in Stevensville immediately following the funeral service.

Memorials may be given to the Stevensville Bible Chapel in Stevensville, through Whitesitt Funeral Home.
