IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-- Jefferson Vance Kellogg, 72, of Palisades, Idaho, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Eastern Regional Medical Center, Idaho Falls, Idaho, surrounded by his family.
Jeff was born July 1, 1941, in McCook, Nebraska. He was raised on the family farm and attended local schools in Danbury, Nebraska.
Jeff is a veteran of the Korean Conflict (1963-1966), serving as a paratrooper for the Army. He retired a seasoned mechanical foreman from Stauffer Chemical/Rhone Poulenc in 1993.
He was a loving family man, who enjoyed boating, fishing, antiquing, and could always be found fixing this or that.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and one older brother.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Ann Kellogg, and four children: Monica Presho, Maureen Harrison, Joseph Gamper, and Merry Gamper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephew, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, he has been cremated and a private service will be held at a future date.
His family submits the following quote from "Miss Me, But Let Me Go" by Betty Miller. "Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me, but let me go."
Cremation was under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho.
