LYNDEN, Washington -- Augustine E. Unrein, age 86, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the Christian Health Care Center in Lynden, Washington

He was born March 30, 1927, in McCracken, Kansas, to Joseph C. and Rosie K. (Jacobs) Unrein. He married Anna Marie (Robben) on June 8, 1948, in Norton, Kansas. He was a veteran of the United States Army (Air Force) and served from 1945 thru 1946.

He farmed in Jennings, Kansas, drilled irrigation wells for Norton Manufacturing Co. and owned Joes Sporting Goods in McCook, Nebraska. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in McCook, Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Unrein of Lynden, Washington; his son, Russell E. Unrein and wife, Jane of Lynden, Washington; his daughter, Toni A. Unrein of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Jesse A. Unrein and wife, Cara of Snoqualmie, Washington; granddaughter, Kaitlin J. Beardwood and husband, Adam of Mercer Island, Washington, and granddaughter, Mia Rose Unrein of Lynden, Washington.

Services will be Friday, July 12, 2013, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 409 East F Street, McCook, Nebraska.
