ENGLEWOOD, Colorado -- Avis A. Davis, 88, formerly of Oberlin, Kansas, died Friday (July 5, 2013), at Swedish Hospital in Englewood.

She was born March 7, 1925, in Norton, Kansas, to Samuel and Bernice (Barr) Willcoxon Sr. She was raised in rural Oberlin and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1942.

She married Clifford Davis on Feb. 21, 1947.

She was a retired real estate broker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Littleton, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Bernice Willcoxon; husband, Cliff Davis; brother, John Willcoxon and sister, Doris Brown.

Survivors include children, Mike (Patti) Davis of Aurora, Colorado, Renee Ottinger of Lakewood, Colorado and Dee (John) Davis-Fellini; brother, Samuel (Kathleen) Willcoxon Jr. of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services are Thursday, July 11, 2013, 10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Nancy Proffitt officiating. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, 8 a.m. until service time.
