BERTHOUD, Colorado -- Gary Grose, 72, died June 17, 2013.

He was born June 23, 1940, in Norton, Kansas, to Wayne and Eileene (Taylor) Grose. He graduated from high school in 1959 from Oberlin, Kansas. On June 24, 1962, he married Deanna Laaker.

He attended Parks Business College in Denver, then worked for Martin Marietta until 1967. He worked for IBM until he took early retirement in 1994. He then worked at Roach in Boulder and was a personal driver for a private company.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Grose; brother, Terry; father and mother-in-law, Hank and Flora Laaker and brother-in-law, Merald Van Vleet.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna of Berthoud; son, Todd Grose of Longmont, Colorado and daughter, Michelle Kessler and husband, Dan, of Fredrick, Colorado; mother, Eileene Grose; sisters, Cheryl Metcalf and husband, Sid and Pam VanVleet, all of Oberlin and Kim McConville and husband, Mark of Indianola, Nebraska; brother-in-law, John Laaker and wife, Joyce of Berthoud; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service was 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2013, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
