OBERLIN, Kansas -- Leonard Cochran, 86, died Saturday (June 15, 2013), at Decatur County Health Systems in Oberlin.
He was born Sept. 2, 1926, in Decatur County, Kansas, to Virgil and Elsie (Horn) Cochran. He was raised on a Decatur County farm. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
He married Dorothy Schwab on June 6, 1954, in Oberlin,
He owned LC Cochran Trucking and was a farmer and rancher.
He was preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Elsie Cochran; infant twin brothers, Rea and Lee; and sisters, Wilma Mott and Neva Province.
Surviviors include his wife, Dorothy Cochran of Oberlin; sons, Alan (DoAnn) Cochran of Gardner and Ray (Janet) Cochran of Cawker City; daughters, Diana (Joseph) Cochran-Black of Newton and Lori (Jeff) Roe of Norcatur; sister, Leota Jordan of McCook, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren,
Services are Tuesday, June 18, 2013,10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home with the Rev. Royce Leitner officating. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery,
Visitation is Monday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, 8 a.m. until service
