WAUNETA, Nebraska -- Orville Widger, 87, longtime resident of Wauneta, died Thursday (June 6, 2013), at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

Survivors include his wife, Ila of Wauneta; sons, Dan Widger and wife, Deb, of Wahoo, Nebraska and Sam Widger and wife, Michelle, of Kearney, Nebraska; brothers, Marlin Widger of Imperial, Nebraska and Dean Widger and wife, Diane, of Fort Morgan, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Carrie Widger of Ashland, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, June 12, 2013, 10:30 a.m.. (MT) at the United Methodist Church of Wauneta, with the Rev. Melody Newman officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 11, 2013, 2-6 p.m. (MT), with the family greeting the public from 4-6 p.m. (MT) at the funeral home in Wauneta.

A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church of Wauneta.
