TRENTON, Nebraska --Marion Chester Reid, 71, of Trenton, Nebraska, died Saturday (May 25, 2013), at El Dorado Manor in Trenton.

He was born Aug. 30, 1941, at Oxford, Nebraska, to Chester and Thelma (Brown) Reid.

He was raised south of Beaver City. He attended Beaver City High School and graduated in 1959. On Nov.26, 1960, he married Sandra Storz at Oxford. He later married Bette Reid.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and wife, Bette Reid.

Survivors include sons, Tony and wife, Cathy Reid of Manhattan, Kansas, Chris and wife, Kathy Reid of Stratton, Nebraska, Craig and wife, Christina Reid of Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter, Cathy and husband, Mark Witaczack of Overland Park, Kansas; sister, Rosemary and husband, Irlee Stagemeyer of Holbrook, Nebraska; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. , at the Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City with Rev. James Moshier officiating.

No viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen
