OBERLIN, Kansas --Cecilia Kump Brown, 86, died Saturday (May 11, 2013), at Wichita, Kansas.

She was born April 6, 1926, in rural Selden, Kansas to Leo and Elizabeth (Kamphaus) Zodrow.

She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1945 and attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Concordia, Kansas.

She married Jack Kump in 1959 and after that marriage, she married George Brown in 2001. She was a registered nurse.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Elizabeth Zodrow; husbands, Jack Kump and George Brown; son, Ron Kump; two brothers, Lawrence and Elmer Zodrow; and infant sister, Mary Zodrow.

Survivors include stepsons, Kurt Brown of Denver, Colorado and Eric (Peggy) Brown of Weston,Florida; daughter-in-law, Judy Kump of Wichita; step-daughter, Paula (Shannon) Chapman of San Rafael, California; brother, Gary (Leola) Zodrow of Oberlin; sister, Virginia Almquist of Smith Center; two grandchildre;, four great-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.

Services are Thursday, May 16, 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oberlin, with the Rev. Mark Berland officiating. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, May 15, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. and also Thursday, May 16, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
