OMAHA, Nebraska -- Mary A., Leidy, 67, died Wednesday (May 8, 2013), in Omaha.

She was born Jan. 30, 1946, to Gladys and William H. Mahon. She was raised in Southwest Nebraska and was a long-time instructor in Early Childhood Education at MetroCommunity College in Omaha.

She was preceded in death by parents, Gladys and William H. Mahon.

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Jerald Leidy; sons, William (Mary P.), Todd Michael (Mary V.), and James (Brandi) Leidy; sisters, Phyllis Purer and Nancy Freehling; and five grandchildren.

Memorial service is Friday, May 24, 5:30 p.m., at First Unitarian Church, 3114 Harney St, Omaha NE.

In leiu of flowers memorials can be given in her name to Neighbors United Community Meals Project, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 216 S 34th St, Omaha NE 68131.

Private internment planned.
