HOLDREGE, Nebraska -- Jerry Morgan Carbaugh, 65, of Holdrege, died Monday (May 6, 2013), at his home in Holdrege.

He was born March 29, 1948, at Cambridge, Nebraska, to Edgar and Marcia I. (Casebolt) Carbaugh. He attended Arapahoe Public Schools and then attended Cambridge High School, later earning his GED in 1977.

He married Patsy and after their divorce, married Cheryl Ohlson.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and recently received his 50-year pin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven, in infancy; two brothers, Aaron Carbaugh in infancy and Jon Carbaugh.

Survivors include his sons, Jerry Carbaugh and his fiance, Jessica Samuelson of Cambridge, Nebraska, Chris Carbaugh and his wife, Drew of Holdrege, Jeremy Carbaugh and his finance, Jenny Pierce of Holdrege; one daughter, Tanya Harvey and her husband, Tim of Lincoln, Nebraska; two brothers, Alan Carbaugh and Lee Carbaugh, both of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Linda Leisure of Omaha, Nebraska, Nancy Judd and her husband, Rick of McCook, Nebraska and Marlene Svoboda and her husband, Tom of McCook, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Barbara Carbaugh of Rockwall, Texas; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services are Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Rev. Dale Lambert officiating. Inurnment will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery at Holdrege.

Memorial book signing is today, from 5-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

A memorial has been established in his name and suggested to the family.
