New cross trainer at the YMCA provides a total body workout

McCook YMCA
McCOOK, Nebraska -- On March 11, the YMCA purchased a NuStep T4r Recumbent Cross Trainer.
The NuStep Cross Trainer provides a total body workout through a smooth and natural stepping motion. The seat rotates 360 degrees with arm rest to make it easy and safer to enter and exit the cross trainer. The arms adjust to 10 various lengths which enables the Cross Trainer to fit users from 4'6" to 6'4".
Dale McNutt of McCook began using the NuStep in mid-March and has increased his workouts from five minutes to 45-plus minutes per workout. When Dale first began using the NuStep, he was using a walker to assist him. But now, Dale has not only stopped using the walker, but he has also stopped using his cane.
Dale used to suffer from chronic neck and shoulder pain. Through strengthening his shoulder, neck and back and increasing his flexabiltiy, Dale has been pain- free.
The YMCA cannot guarantee these kind of results for everyone, but staff has received great reviews from members that use the NuStep Cross Trainer.
The NuStep was purchased with funds received through non-designated donations to the YMCA's Memorial Fund and a donation received from Andy and Geri Anderson through the Nebraska Community Foundation.
