OBERLIN, Kansas -- Monte McCoy, 56, died Friday (May 3, 2013) at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born Jan. 22, 1957, to Harvey and Lois McCoy. He worked in the oil fields after high school and also at the restaurant his mother owned, "My Place," in Atwood, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Rebecca Crosby.

Survivors include his wife, Trinity, of Oberlin and her children, Jasmine Super of Oberlin and Joseph Dunham of Jennings, Kansas; brother, John "Mic" McCoy and wife, Lou; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at a later date.
