SUN CITY, Arizona -- Dr. Bruce B. Snyder, DDS, MS born Jan. 5, 1927, to the late Ralph D. and Esther C. Snyder in Fairbury, Nebraska, passed away in his home peacefully surrounded by his family on April 22, 2013, in Sun City, Arizona.

Dr. Snyder served in the US Navy during World War II, was a licensed physical therapist and practiced three years before entering dental and orthodontia training.

He practiced Orthodontics in McCook, Nebraska, from 1960 until his retirement to Sun City, Arizona, in May of 1983.

He is survived by wife, June C. (nee Carlson) Snyder of Sun City; sister, Joyce A. Chotena (nee Snyder) of Sun City; surviving children: daughter, Diane C. A. Snyder and son-in-law, William L. Warren, Esq. of Lawrence TWP, New Jersey; son, Devon D. Snyder and daughter-in-law, Cheryl L. of Cary, North Carolina; grandchildren, Olivia D. R. and Christopher N. Snyder of Cary, North Carolina.

Services will be Saturday May 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury, followed by burial at the Fairbury Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project or McCook College Foundation.

Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury are in charge of arrangements.
