Clyde E. Raburn

MCCOOK, Nebraska -- Clyde E. Raburn, age 76, died at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Nebraska, on April 27, 2013.

He was born in Lebanon, Nebraska, on Feb. 22, 1937, to Harry and Pearl (Sutherland) Raburn. He attended school in Lebanon. In 1948, his family moved to McCook, where Clyde remained as lifelong resident.

Clyde was employed in the oil fields where he worked as a driller and later as a foreman of a crew. Clyde was forced into an early retirement due to a broken back. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Clyde moved to the Hillcrest Nursing Home three months ago when his health failed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Neva Cowger, Mable Hart, Majestic (Mary) Carfield and Esther Brunswick; three brothers, Clifford, Mac and Cody.

Clyde is survived by his three sisters, Loretta and husband, Bob Kinghorn of Lincoln, Sharon and husband, Don Beebe of Garden Grove, Minnesota and Terisha and husband, Dale of Circle Pine, Minnesota; and one brother, Dewey and wife, Sharron of Lincoln, Nebraska.

Funeral services were today, Monday, April 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Martin Akhasamit officiating. Interment was in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Nebraska. Memorials may be left in Clyde's name at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel.
