LEBANON, Nebraska -- Floyd Edward Finch of Lebanon, Nebraska, died April 12, 2013, in Aurora, Colorado.

Floyd was born Nov. 11, 1933, to Harry and Sarah "Sadie" (Colligan) Finch. He grew up in Indianola, Nebraska and graduated from Indianola High School in 1951. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and served four years. He was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He married Patricia Ann Lehn on Feb. 13, 1956, in Oberlin,Kansas.

Floyd worked as a freight loader for 25 years for Time D-C Trucking Company in Denver, Colorado. He was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, the American Legion in Lebanon and the VFW in Lebanon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Sadie, four sisters, Rosemary Arnold, Catherine Tuttle, Margaret "Peggy" Lundy and Sarah Hunt; two brothers, Francis "Bud" Finch and infant twin of Bud, Frederick Finch; one infant son, Anthony Duane Finch and one infant grandson, "Little" Ron Finch.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Patricia and three children, sons, Ed Finch of Aurora, Colorado, Ron Finch and his wife, Shayne of Fayetteville, Georgia and daughter, Deann (Finch) Mikelson of Aurora, Colorado; five granddaughters, Rheannon (Jimmy) Bales of Stockbridge, Georgia, Rhonda (Tim) Newsome of Fayetteville, Georgia, Cheyenna Mikelson of Commerce City, Colorado, Rhandi Finch of Kennesaw, Georgia and Sarah Finch of Aurora, Colorado; three great-grandaughters, Annie Bales, Jazmyn Newsome, Brooklyn Tovar and one great-grandson, Brody Mikelson. Floyd is also survived by one brother, Bernard "Bernie" and wife, Sue Finch of Cheyenne, Wyoming and one brother-in-law, Gary Hunt of Kerrville, Texas and many nieces, nephews and great friends.

Funeral service is Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Indianola. Inurnment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Indianola.
