McCOOK, Nebraska -- A two-vehicle accident east of McCook, Nebraska, Friday evening sent both drivers to hospitals in McCook and Kearney, Nebraska.

Keenan Jorschumb, 26, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, and Tasha L. Martin, 31, of Indianola, Nebraska, were transported from the accident scene about four miles east of McCook on Highway 6 and 34 to Community Hospital of McCook. Martin was transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital of Kearney.

Jorschumb was treated and released Saturday. Martin is listed in fair condition at the hospital in Kearney.

Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Bryan Walter indicates in an accident report that Jorschumb was west-bound in a 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup and attempting to pass in a no-passing zone when he collided with Martin's eastbound 2007 Jeep Commander.

Jorschumb was not wearing a seat belt, but his passenger was. All five occupants of the Martin SUV were wearing seat belts. Both vehicles were totaled.

Assisting the Patrol on the scene were officers of the Red Willow County Sheriff's Department, Indianola Fire and Rescue and the Red Willow Western Fire Department.
