McCOOK, Nebraska -- The third offender accused of burglarizing a West First Street McCook home in May 2012 was sentenced to probation Monday, April 1, in Red Willow County District Court.

The burglar, 18-year-old Rayna Snyder of 115 West O Street, accepted a plea agreement in February that admitted guilt to a Class IV felony offense of attempted burglary. Snyder was sentenced to 36 months probation and ordered to pay restitution as a result of the attempt conviction.

Snyder's accomplices, 21-year-old Toni Hopkins of 906 East E Street and 23-year-old Johnathon M. Wickizer of Benkelman, Nebraska, were similarly sentenced to probation and ordered to pay joint restitution in the amount of $9,000.

Hopkins' plea agreement also reduced a Class III felony second degree forgery charge, stemming from an unrelated fraudulent check writing case against her, to three Class I misdemeanor offenses. Her plea subsequently admitted guilt to a Class III felony burglary charge and to the three misdemeanor forgery offenses. She was sentenced to 36 months probation in both cases, to be served at the same time.

Wickizer similarly admitted guilt to a Class III felony burglary charge and was sentenced to 36 months probation and ordered to pay joint restitution.
