BIRD CITY, Kansas -- Richard Paul Brubaker, 92, died Wednesday (April 3, 2013), at the Cheyenne County Hospital in St. Francis, Kansas.

He was born March 14, 1921, in McCook, Nebraska.

He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene L. (Amsberry) Brubaker of Bird City; daughters, Darla Deeds of Bird City, Kayla Ochsner of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Paula Groff of Bellevue, Nebraska; brother, Robert Brubaker of Bird City; sister, Winnifred Wamhoff of Loveland;, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m., on Monday, April 8, 2013, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Bird City. Burial is at the Bird City Cemetery with military graveside services by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.

Visitation is Sunday from 1-7 p.m. at the Knodel Funeral Home, 202 S. Benton in St. Francis.

Knodel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
