ARAPAHOE, Nebraska -- Marjorie V. Avary-Horn, 77, of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, died Friday (March 15, 2013), at her daughter's home at Arapahoe, Nebraska.

She was born May 11, 1935, at Bellingham, Washington to Ralph Sr. and Elva (Kuhns) Johnson.

She grew up and attended school at Beaver City High School, Beaver City, Nebraska. She married Kenneth Avary on Nov. 7, 1953. He passed away in 2000. She married Gilbert Horn in 2008 and made their home at Johnson Lake, Nebraska. Gilbert died in 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth Avary and Gilbert Horn, son, Kim Avary; one brother and two sisters, two brother-in-laws, and one daughter-in-law.

She is survived by her son, Gary Avary and wife, Audry of Rapid City, South Dakota; daughter, Kammi Huxoll and husband, Dean of Arapahoe; brother, Ralph Johnson Jr. and wife, Karen of Golden, Colorado; sister-in-law, Immogene Williams of Grand Island, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Maci Cross of Cheyenne, Wyoming; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2 p.m.at Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Holdrege, Nebraska with the Rev.Murray Jones officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen.
