PARK, Kansas -- Ralph L. Gassmann, 57, died Monday (March 18, 2013), at Denver, Colorado.

He was born Nov.1, 1955, at Colby, Kansas, to Conrad R. and Magdalen S. (Weber) Gassmann.

He was raised on a farm one mile west of Dresden, Kansas,. He attended school at Goodland, Kansas; Alliance, Nebraska, Dresden and Park, Kansas and Denver, Colorado.

He worked at Shields Farm in Goodland; Burlington Northern Railroad in Alliance and contract labor in Denver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Conrad Gassmann, and sister, Donna Mae Gassmann.

Survivors include brothers, Francis (Cindy) Gassmann of Garden Plain, Anthony (Peggy) Gassmann of Dresden, George (Vickie) Gassmann of New Almelo, Paul (Debbie) Gassmann of Des Moines, Iowa, and Lawrence Gassmann of Manhattan; sisters, Mary Gassmann of Portland Oregon, Ann Gassmann and Theresa Gassmann, both of Euless, Texas and brother-in-law, Arley Garner, of Euless.

Services are Wednesday, March 27, 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Leoville, Kansas. Interment is at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Leoville.

Visitation is Tuesday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Selden with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Memorials mary be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,Leoville, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
