Accidents

MARCH 3, 2013:

1:59 a.m., W. First Street -- a vehicle driven by Shannon L. Fune, 22, 1604 W. Fourth Street, struck a parked pickup located in an angled parking space on W. First Street, owned by James M. Hegwood, age unavailable, Culbertson, Nebraska, then fled the scene. The collision caused an estimated $6,000 in combined vehicle damage. Fune was located by investigators and admitted to driving the vehicle at the time of the collision, but denied colliding with the parked vehicle. Debris found at the accident matched Fune's vehicle and he was arrested and cited with multiple offenses, including refusing to submit to preliminary alcohol tests.

MARCH 11, 2013:

1902 West B Street -- a van owned by Gerald L. Manley, age unavailable, 311 East 11th Street, while parked in the Walmart parking lot was struck by an unknown vehicle causing an estimated $300 in vehicle damage.

MARCH 13, 2013:

1:15 p.m., West First Street -- a vehicle driven by Amber Trosper, 17, 808 W. First Street, while backing from a driveway struck a vehicle travelling on West First Street, driven by Roxie Tuller, 88, 1004 W. First Street, causing an estimated $6,500 in combined vehicle damage.
