TRENTON, Nebraska -- Georgie Jean Seybold age 71, died at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton on Wednesday March 6, 2013.
She was born in Cheyenne County, Kansas, near St. Francis, to Walter and Violet Stella (Seitz) Blankenship. She graduated from Benkleman High School in 1959. In 1966 she graduated from McCook Community College with an Associate Degree in accounting.
On July 15, 1960, she was united in marriage to Nathan Seybold in Akron, Colorado. The couple move throughout Kansas and Nebraska due to Nathan's job with the railroad. Georgie and Nathan raised a nephew, Brian Blankenship.
Georgie enjoyed China painting. She worked as a volunteer tax preparer with the VISTA program, census taker, camp host at the Massacre Canyon Visitor Center and the Trenton library. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Roberta and Ruby.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Nathan of Trenton; son, David and wife, Rebecca of Trenton; nephew, Brian Blankenship; six grandchildren; two sisters, June and husband, Mike Nothous of Palisade and Evelyn Blankenship of Trenton; and one brother, Tom and Carrie Blankenship of Phoenix, Arizona.
Funeral services will be at the Church of God in Trenton on Monday March 11, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Tim Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery.
Memorials may be left in Georgie's name at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel.
