McCOOK, Nebraska -- Evelyn G. Lytle age 88, of McCook died at the Hillcrest Nursing Home on March 4, 2013.
She was born in Hayes County, Nebraska, on July 30, 1924, to George and Rose (Anderjaska) McKillip. She attended and graduated from Hayes Center High School in 1941.
On Oct. 14, 1947, she was united in marriage to Virgil Lytle at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Evelyn was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Altar Society, DOES, and was a Pink Lady with the Community Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling going to Rome and Alaska and on many bus trips with friends and family. Her pastimes were filled with crocheting, knitting and playing cards.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil on Feb. 5, 1994, infant son, Francis and a brother, Robert McKillip.
Survivors include her daughter, Lee Ann Roth of McCook; three sons, Bill and wife, Sherry of McCook; Larry and wife, Marla of Belle Vista, Arkansas; Jim and wife, Anita of McCook; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Janet McKillip of Hayes Center.
Rosary will be recited at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. with Father Gary Brethauer. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in McCook.
Memorials may be left in her name at the HerrmannJones Funeral Chapel.
