NORTH PLATTE, Nebraska -- Robert "Bob" Lee Duysen, 84, died Monday (Feb. 25, 2013).
Bob was born on May 17, 1928, in Imperial to Rudolph and Luella (Kleist) Duysen. He grew up in Imperial and after school he worked for a rancher until he began working for the State of Nebraska.
He was drafted into the US Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he returned to Nebraska and continued working for the State. He attended diesel mechanic school in Kansas City, then returned to work for the State.
On Feb. 26, 1961, he married Esther Endreson in Denver. In 1970, Bob joined on the UPRR and worked there until he retired in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Esther; and sister Betty Terry. |
He is survived by his two daughters Eileen (Jeff Gorley) Wolfe of North Platte, Elsie (Bill) Gregory of Scottsbluff; son Aaron (Eileen) Duysen of Colorado Springs; 7 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sister Pat (Don) Einspahr of McCook; brother Claire Duysen of Imperial; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Harvest Christian Church with Pastor Ron Lauber officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday February 26, 2013 from noon until 9:00 p.m. at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
