TRENTON, Nebraska -- Vesta Jewell Relph, age 73, of Trenton, departed this life in Kearney at the Good Samaritan Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.

She was born in Ozark, Missouri, on March 6, 1940, to Leroy and Lucille Starnes. She was the seventh of 12 children. On Dec. 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to Robert Relph in Ozark, Missouri. To this union two children were born; Chris and Becky. The couple lived in Colorado for a while, moving to Trenton in 1970.

Jewell loved to garden, puzzles, sewing and embroidery. She always had time for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruby Moreland, Laverne Clark, Dorothy Vages and three brothers, Robert, Warren and Ray Stranes.

Jewell is survived by her husband, Robert, of Trenton; daughter, Becky Dunn of Indianola; son, Chris of Trenton; five grandchildren, Edward and wife, Olga Dunn, William and wife, Mallory Dunn, Nicholas Dunn, Kevin Dunn Jr., Christopher and wife, Shasta Dunn; six great- grandchildren, Issiah Dunn, Haley Dunn, Victor Dunn, Matthew Dunn, Makaden Dunn and Robert Dunn; sisters, Marie Garner, Leann Frazier, Georgina Vickers, Rose Fintel ans brother, John Starnes.

God Bless you grandma for all the time we had with you. You are at peace now and will always be in our hearts.

A lunch will be at noon on Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church in McCook for friends and family.

A memorial service will be at the church at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 with Pastor K. C. Harryman officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
