McCOOK, Nebraska -- Donald Bradley, age 77, of McCook, passed away at the Community Hospital of McCook on Jan. 28, 2013.
He was born in McCook, Nebraska, on May 23, 1935, to Elmer and Mable (Mitchell) Bradley. Don attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1953. He then attended several electronic trade schools, getting several degrees in electronics.
Don was united in marriage to Cathy Wade on Sept. 10, 1982. To this union a son Seth was born.
Don went into business on his own, running several different enterprises. He opened the House of Electronics for several years and then the McCook Hotel. After selling his business, he moved his family to California to work for a computer parts company in Simi Valley. In 1984, Don started the Bradley Trucking Company in McCook and ran this company until retirement in 1996.
Don was a talented artist. He loved to draw. He was also a craftsman of leather, making belts, bags and other items of leather.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy of McCook; three sons, Seth C. Bradley of McCook; Rick D. and wife, Helen Bradley of Brighton, Colorado and Jay M. Bradley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step daughter, Melissa L. Bradley of McCook and nine grandchildren.
No services are planned. Memorials may be left to the Kidney Foundation at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in Don's name.
