I asked Declan for an update pertaining to his marriage plans. It has been a few months since he, oh-so-confidently, informed me of his plans to marry one of his classmates. He has been silent on the topic ever since.
"Are you still going to marry Betty?" I asked.
Declan paused for a moment, grimacing sideways as he searched for an answer.
"Ummm... I think I will proly marry Tammy," he eventually responded. (Actual names changed of course)
"Who is Tammy?" I quickly responded, unfamiliar with his latest bride-to-be.
"She is in my class," Declan grinned widely as he continued, "I tried to give her a hug but she kept pushing me away," he chuckled as he recalled the incident.
"Why were you trying to hug her?" I asked, curious as to how the young man would tackle the question.
He responded zealously and without hesistation, a mischievious grin spread across his face, "Cuz she looked like a good hugger!"
