Billie Jean James Boyer

July 7, 1945 - Jan. 3, 2013

TOMBALL, Texas -- Billie Jean James Boyer, oldest daughter of Harold E. James (deceased) and Dolores June Bestol James, rejoined the Creator on Jan. 3, 2013. She was 67 years old.

She was born July 7, 1945, in Hyannis, Nebraska and graduated from Mullin High School. She worked in home health care and as an insurance agent. She also worked during the 1980s as a freelance reporter for the McCook Daily Gazette and the Indianola News.

Billie dedicated her life to the service and care of others. Her unending supply of love was a blessing to those in need and her selfless nature for both humans and animals was an inspiration.

She is survived by two daughters, April Boyer Sitler of Magnolia, Texas and Andria Boyer Schenbeck of St. Petersburg, Florida; her mother, Dolores Bestol James of Kearney, Nebraska; and two sisters, Sallie James Atkins of Halsey, Nebraska and Sidney James Reynolds of Spring Hope, North Carolina.

As a fitting tribute to this wonderful being, please consider performing an act of kindness to another person or animal. She was also an ardent supporter of Covenant House.
