CAMBRIDGE, Nebrasla -- Marvin L. Wymore,82, of Cambridge, died Dec. 17, 2012, at the Cambridge Manor.

He was born in Bartley on Oct. 29, 1930, to Irvin and Mary (Ginther) Wymore. He graduated from Bartley High School in 1948. He was united in marriage to Barbara Moore on Sept. 14, 1949, and to that union five children were born: Dennis, Dallas, Kay, Ron and James. His wife preceded him in death on Oct. 16, 1987. On Oct. 20, 2000, he married Norma (Dirks) Minnick. Norma and Marvin made their home on a small acreage on the edge of Cambridge.

He worked for various John Deere dealers through out Southwest Nebraska. He was a member of the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department for 33 years and served in many offices as well as fire chief. He was a life member of the Bartley Christian Church and served as an elder.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; sons, Dennis and James; grandsons, Tyler and Kyle Nickerson and a brother, Eldon.

He is survived by his wife, Norma of Cambridge; two sons, Dallas and wife, Cheryl Wymore and Ron and wife, Jan, all of Kearney, Nebraska; daughter, Kay and husband, Doak Nickerson of Chadron, Nebraska; step-children, Steve and wife, Janet Saylor of Hutchinson, Kansas and James and wife, Judy of Marion, Kansas; brother, Leonard and wife, Thelma of Johnson City, Tennesee; sister-in-law, Cleora Wymore of Lebanon, Oregon; six grandchildren, eight great-grand children, 11 step-grandchildren and 22 step great-grandchildren;

Services are Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Christian Church in Bartley with the Rev. Clark Bates officiating. Interment will be in the Bartley Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday form 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Family will be present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday.
