OBERLIN, Kansas -- Louise J. Pollnow, 93, died Dec. 7, 2012, at the Decatur County Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin,

She was born Feb. 2, 1919, in Osborn, Missouri, to William Frederick and Coletta Catherine (Quell) Gross, Jr. She attended the Baker School and graduated from Osborn, Missouri High School in 1936. She attended Gard Business College in St. Joseph, Missouri.

She married Theodore (Ted) Pollnow Sept. 11, 1938, in Stevensville, Missouri. She was a member of the Oberlin United Methodist Church, UMC Women, and Progressive Homemakers Unit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Coletta Gross; husband, Theodore (Ted) Pollnow; brother, William Gross and brother-in-law, James Moreland.

Survivors include daughters, Sharon and husband, Rusty Addleman of Oberlin and Rita and husband, Norman Tilton of Davis, California; sisters, Arlyne Moreland and sister in law, Winifred Gross, both of Cameron, California, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren,

Services are Saturday, Dec. 15, 2 p.m. at the Oberlin United Methodist Church with the Revs. Nancy Proffitt and Judi Stricker officiating. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be given to the Decatur County Good Samaritan Center of the Decatur County Museum.
