FORT WORTH, Texas -- Stanley Meints of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away suddenly Nov. 29, 2012, at the age of 59. Memorial services were held Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born Aug. 5, 1953, in McCook, Nebraska to Donald E. and Doris Ruth (Kleint) Meints. Stan grew up in the Culbertson, Nebraska, area, graduating in 1971 from Culbertson High School. He spent his adult life in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There he had numerous jobs until establishing a painting and remodeling business. He was very active and devoted in the A.A./N.A. program. For 34 years, he served and helped others in the program. His faith, love and compassion touched many lives. He was very well known and loved.

Survivors include his daughters, Connie Lenz and husband, Adam, of Shawnee, Kansas; Sheri Meints of Lincoln, Nebraska; two sisters, Donna Carlson and husband Rod, of Grand Island, Nebraska; Connie Stuckey and husband Ted, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Charlotte Meints, of Oberlin, Kansas; step-brothers, Mike Walinder and wife, Glenda, of Cambridge, Nebraska; Mark Walinder and fiancee, Jenna Patterson, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; step-sister, Marcia Stecklein of Topeka, Kansas; nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews and aunts.

Cremation was chosen. "Celebration of Life" services will be at St. John's Lutheran Church in Culbertson, Nebraska, on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be held at the Culbertson Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family. Please, no flowers.
