BEAVER CITY, Nebraska -- Mark Allen Forbes, 51, of Beaver City, died Tuesday (Nov. 27, 2012), at his home in Beaver City after a short battle with cancer.

He was born Feb. 25, 1961, at McCook, Nebraska, to Marquerite (Midge) Haller and Larry Forbes.

Mark grew up in McCook, Nebraska. He attended McCook schools and after school worked for Frick Construction Co. in McCook for 10 years. He moved to Beaver City in 1987.

He married SueAnn Stagemeyer on July 9, 1988 at Beaver City, Nebraska. Mark continued to work in construction and maintenance for Sands Livestock and Nebraska Pork Producers, which is now Maschhoffs for the last 15 years.

He was preceded in death by father, and brothers, Kenneth, Timothy and Robert.

Survivors include his wife, SueAnn Forbes of Beaver City; mother, Midge Forbes of McCook; son, Jacob Todd and wife, Miranda Forbes of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Megan Forbes and personal friend, Scott of Brighton, Colorado; brother, Steve Forbes and wife, Lorenda of Beaver City and sister, Marshell and husband, Jim Kennedy of Goodland, Kansas.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe, Nebraska with the Rev. James Moshier officiating. Burial to follow at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Nebraska.

Viewing and visitation will be Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home at Beaver City and prior to services Saturday at the church.
