OBERLIN, Kansas -- John E. Keenan, 64, died Saturday (Nov. 11, 2012), at his home in Oberlin,

He was born April 27, 1948, to Neil John and Imogen Johnson Keenan in Jennings, Kansas.

He graduated from Jennings High School in 1966 and attended Central Community College in McPherson and Fort Hays State University in Hays.

He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jennings.

He was a truck driver for Beaver Valley Supply and formerly for Halliburton in Oberlin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Neil Keenan.

He is survived by mother, Imogene Keenan of Jennings; two daughters, Ruth Schilling and Dave Shearer of Almena, Kansas and Jeana Cozad and Pat Pomeroy of Norton, Kansas; brother, Jim and wife Letitia Keena of Oakley, Kansas; sisters, Janeil Dilling of Goodland, Kansas, Jana and husband, Frank Slansky of Stockton, Kansas, and four grandchildren

Services are Wednesday Nov. 14, 10 a.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with Interment at Jennings Cemetery. Visiiation is today until 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 8 a.m until services time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in his name.
