OBERLIN, Kansas -- Sybil A. O'Toole, 91, died Friday (Nov. 2, 2012), at Hiawatha, Kansas.

She was born Aug. 4, 1921, in Norcatur, Kansas to Lester and Edna (Roberts) Foley.

She was raised in rural Decatur County and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1939.

She married John "Jack" O'Toole in Nov. 29, 1946, in Oberlin, Kansas.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary and Cosmopolitan Club, all in Oberlin.

She was preceded in death by parents, Lester and Edna Foley; first husband, Keith Lohoefener; and infant daughter, Jeanne Ann.

Survivors include husband, John "Jack" O'Toole of Hiawatha; sons, Steve and wife, Deanna O'Toole of Olathe, Kansas, David and wife, Lisa O'Toole of Leawood, Kansas and Kent O'Toole and Mary Nester of Bowling Green, Kentucky; daughter, Laurie and husband, David Nachtigal of Fall City, Nebraska; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchlden and eight great-grandchildren.

Services are Thursday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin with the Rev. James Hoover officiating. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Vigil service is Wednesday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Oberlin. Visitation is Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m.-noon, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Golden Age Center.
