HOXIE, Kansas-- Kay Reedy, 62, died Wednesday (Oct. 24, 2012), at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado.
She was born May 31, 1950, in Norton, Kansas, to Joseph G. and Josephone (Von Schuetz) Kinser.
She was raised on a farm east of Allison, Kansas.
She attended Jennings High School and Beloit Technical College for LPN training.
She resided in Hays, Sylvan Grove and Hoxie, Kansas.
She married Tom Reedy on Dec. 29, 1968, in Jennings, Kansas.
She was a member of Hoxie Christian Church and Sheridan County Amusement Authority.
She was a bookkeeper at the State Bank of Hoxie for 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph G. and Josephine Kinser and brother, Tim Kinser.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Reedy of Hoxie; son, Morgan (Anna Belle) Reedy of Lawrence, Kansas; daughters, Susan (Christian) Rosauer of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and Andrea (Gary) Schwager of Lindsborg, Kansas; brothers, Jerry (Sandi) Kinser of Concordia, Kansas and John (Kay) Kinser of Whitesboro, Texas; sisters, Linda (John) Stanley of Oberlin, Kansas, and Janet (Damon) Morrin of Miamisburg, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Kinser of Jennings and one grandson.
Services are Tuesday, Oct. 30, 11 a.m. at Hoxie Christian Church with the Rev. Benny Rosell officiating. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin and Tuesday, 8 a.m., until service time at the church
Memorials may be given to the Hoxie Christian Church of charity of donor's choice
