OBERLIN, Kansas -- Darlene D. Fisher, 89, died Wednesday (Oct. 17, 2012), at Decatur Health Systems in Oberlin,

She was born Jan. 19, 1923, to Ewald and Bertha (Hoffbauer) Jording in Oberling.

She attended country school in Decatur County. She married Royal J. Fisher Aug. 19, 1945, in Oberlin.

She was a homemaker and worked at a cleaning service. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewald and Bertha Jording; husband, Royal J. Fisher; son, Tom Fisher; brothers, Gerald and Elwood Jording; six sisters, Irene, Joyce and Peggy Jording and Corene Vernon, Alene Bailey and Delores Wheeler.

Survivors include children, Jon and wife, Karina Fisher of Oberlin, Mirium Fisher of Oberlin, Julie Fisher of Topeka, Kansas and Marilyn Fisher of Topeka; sister, Linda (Wayne) Bosler of Herndon and Betty Rall of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are at St. John's Lutheran Church Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Brad Rick officiating. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

There is no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Darlene Fisher Memorial Fund.
