OBERLIN, Kansas - Roxie Ann Pomeroy, 70, died Monday (Oct. 15, 2012,) at Decatur County Good Samaritan Center.

She was born July 21, 1942, in McCook, Nebraska, to Louis and Donna (Boggs) Pachner.

She was raised in Oberlin and attended Oberlin Elementary School and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1960.

She married Dell Pomeroy on Dec. 23, 1961, in Oberlin.

She was a Decatur County communications dispatcher and respiratory tech.

She was a member of United Church of Oberlin, Decatur County Health Board and the United Church of Oberlin Council.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Donna Pachner; husband, Dell Pomeroy; brother, Roger Pachner; grandson, Michael Vineyard and special friend, Karen Flynn.

Survivors include sons, Michael and wife, Holly Pomeroy of Enterprise, Kansas and Patrick Pomeroy and special friend, Gina, of Norton, Kansas; sister, Rose Riffle of Oberlin; five step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Services are Friday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Judy Stricker officiating. Interment is at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday, from 8 a.m. to time of service.

Memorials may be given to United Church of Oberlin, McCook Humane Society, Decatur County EMTs or donor's choice.
