McCOOK, Nebraska -- Charles Bernard Thieben passed away Sept. 12th, 2012 ,in his Littleton, Colorado home. Charlie died with his loving family and friends by his side.
Charlie was born in McCook, Nebraska, on July 30, 1952, to Arcle (Tobe) Raymond and Evelyn Luella (Coady) Thieben. He graduated from McCook High School in 1971.
Charlie married Cheri Hoyt, Feb. 21, 1976. They had four children, Amanda, Hillary, Micah and Jesse.
He was a computer tech graduate as well as a licensed recreational vehicle technician. Charlie was an exceptional coach, president/secretary of Eagles Club, avid Cornhusker fan, and most importantly, he loved and cherished all his friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roland James "Bill" Thieben.
Survivors include Cheri Thieben; four children, Amanda, Hillary, Micah and Jesse; four grandchildren, Madison, Ella, Olivia and Lukas: one brother, Richard Lee (Dick) Thieben and wife, Carla, of McCook; sister-in-law, Linda Thieben and husband, Bill Nothnagel, of McCook; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Edison Cemetery, 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. A memorial service will be held at the Red Willow Marina (Red Willow Lake, rural McCook), 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28, 2012.
