Claron H. 'Dick' Voss

ALMENA, Kansas -- Claron H. "Dick'" Voss, 75, died Thursday (Sept. 13, 2012), at the Norton County Hospital.

He was born April 20, 1937, in Densmore, Kansas to Keith and Opal (Olds) Voss. He was raised in Colby, Kansas. He graduated from Colby High School in 1955 and attended Fort Hays State University.

He married Carol Price on Jan. 15, 1966, in Colby.

He served in the Army National Guard, 1100th Ordinance. He farmed and ranched on the family farm southeast of Norton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Opal (Olds) Voss; brother, Bill Voss; and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Voss of Almena; son, Jim and wife, Cindy Voss of Almena; daughters, Kelly and husband, Gordon Solomon of Ellis and Georgia and husband Kurt Mann of Norton; brothers, Roger and wife, Marlene Voss of Colby; sisters, JoAnn and husband, Keith Moss of Henderson, Colorado and Janet and husband, Dick Edwards of Ovilla, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services are Monday, Sept. 17, 10:30 a.m. at the Church of God in Norton. Interment is at the Norton Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Oberlin and Monday, 8 a.m. until service time at the church in Norton
