BIRD CITY, Kansas -- Joan Phyllis (Zorn) Deeds-Hatch, 83, of Bird City, died Saturday (Sept. 1, 2012) at Atwood Good Samaritan Center.

She was born July 27, 1929, at Benkelman, Nebraska.

She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Deeds, in 1980 and second husband, Fran Hatch, in 2007.

She is survived by her son, John Deeds of Bird City; daughters, Ginger Conley of Mission, Kansas, Sherry Donahey of Manhatten, Kansas; three Hatch daughters; sisters, Dorothy Baney of Burlington, Colorado; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren,.

Services are Saturday, Sept. 8, 10:30 a.m. CDT at Bird City at the Immanuel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Bird City Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Knodel Funeral Home and prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Bird City Senior Center or Atwood Good Samaritan Center.
