Virginia Clark

BENKELMAN, Nebraska -- Virginia Mae Clark, 87, died Thursday (Aug. 16, 2012 ), at the Dundy County Hospital, Benkelman, Nebraska.

She was born Jan. 22, 1925, at East Portal, Colorado, to Robert Lee and Vera Iris (Deselms) Evans. She attended country grade school and went on to Dundy County High School. Virginia married Charles Leslie Clark on Dec. 14, 1941, at Colby, Kansas. They made Dundy County, Nebraska, their home.

Virginia was employed at the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home in Benkelman as a nurse's aid and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Shewas preceded in death by twin brother and sister, Clarence and Clara; half-brother, Robert Evans; husband, Charles, in 1994; grandson, Jerry Wayne Clark in 1997; and son, Larry in 2011.

Survivors include daughters, Judy Haines of Benkelman, Kathy Henderson and husband, Mike of Benkelman; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Tuesday, Aug.21, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. (MT), at Forch Funeral Chapel in Benkelman, with Lawrence Francis officiating. Interment will follow at the Benkelman Cemetery, Benkelman, Nebraska.

Visitation is today until 6 p.m. (MT), at Forch Funeral Chapel in Benkelman.

A memorial has been established in her memory.
