Gayle Fish

IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO --Gayle Jeannene Hedke Fish, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away, after a 4 ½ year struggle with cancer, on Aug. 2, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society Idaho Falls Village.

She was born on March 13, 1945, in McCook, Nebraska to Floyd Albert Hedke and Wauneta Beth Preecs Hedke. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Trenton High School.

On Nov. 27, 1965, she married Larry Ward Fish in Trenton,Nebraska. For six years, they lived in Lincoln, Nebraska; then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for three years; Norman, Oklahoma for three years; and in 1977 moved to Idaho Falls.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. All who knew her loved her beautiful smile. She was always quick with an infectious giggle.

Gayle was a member of the Alliance Covenant Church and was a devout Christian who loved studying the word of God. She enjoyed oil painting, playing bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and genealogy work.

Survivors are, husband, Larry Fish, Idaho Falls; daughter, Michele King, Idaho Falls; son, Michael (Buffie Lee) Fish, Boise, Idaho; granddaughter, Christy King, Idaho Falls; brother, Gary Hedke, Trenton; sisters, Sharon Kamp, Deposit, New York and Floy Graham, Atlantic, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Mack Hedke.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) with Neal Russell officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
