KEARNEY, Nebraska --Michael P. Greene, Jr., 32 of Kearney, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Kearney.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3312 Ave B, Kearney, with the Rev. Lawrence Francis officiating. A closed casket visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Interment will be at the Kearney Cemetery. Michael Paul Greene, Jr. was born May 26, 1980, in Ellendale, North Dakota to Michael Lee and Gloria Jean (Lambert) Greene. He grew up in Kearney and received his education from Kearney High School. Michael was most recently employed at Burger King. He enjoyed photography, reading the Bible and spending time with his family and friends. Michael was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Kearney.

Survivors include his parents; brothers, Richard Greene of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Daniel Greene of Kearney; nephews, Elijah and James Greene; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was preceded by his grandparents, an uncle and an aunt.
