Marcia Lynn Sertterh

March 28, 1954 - July 1, 2012

OMAHA, Nebraska -- Marcia Lynn Cuellar Sima Sertterh was born March 28, 1954, in McCook, Nebraska, to Darlene (Lepper) Cuellar and Frank Cuellar. She passed away on July 1, 2012, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 58.

Her family moved to Omaha where she lived and later married John Sima. To this union two children were born. John died from injuries sustained in a car accident. She later married Marty Sertterh. To this union, one son was born. They later divorced.

Marcia worked as a mail carrier for 31 years. She also delivered the morning edition of the Omaha World Herald for 26 years.

She enjoyed camping and fishing with her grandkids, the Nebraska Huskers, and the plants and flowers that filled her yard.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Sima; her father-in-law, Frank Sima; grandparents Ruth and Jim Roach of Culbertson, Nebraska, and Mary and Mike Cuellar of McCook.

Survivors include her mother, Darlene Cuellar of McCook; her father, Frank Cuellar of Omaha; her children, Mike and wife, Diane Sima, Randi Jean Sima and Aaron Sertterh; sisters, Theresa Cuellar of Omaha, Doreen and husband, Steve Sima of Moody, Alabama, Dianne and Gary Klabunde of Omaha, Karen Keller of Trenton, Nebraska, Christina and husband, Alan Griffing of Kansas City, Missouri, and Denise and husband, Troy Spellman of Shelton, Nebraska; her mother-in-law, Jean Sima of Omaha; five grandchildren, Marina Sima, Ethan and London Sima and Cholee and A.J. Sertterh; one great-granddaughter, Vera; and her faithful dog, Harley; and other relatives, neighbors and many, many friends.

John A. Gentleman Mortuary of Omaha handled the arrangements.
