McCOOK, Nebraska -- Annabelle E. Ebert, age 82, of McCook, Nebraska passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the McCook Community Hospital in McCook.

Annabelle was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Lincoln County, Nebraska, to parents Ervin N. and Millie F. (Bussard) Bailey. She was one of 11 children. Annabelle grew up in Lincoln County.

On Jan. 21, 1977, Annabelle married Kenneth Ebert in Oberlin, Kansas. The family made their home in McCook. Annabelle enjoyed volunteering for the community coat closet and also spent time reading and camping. She and her husband were members of the Good Samaritan Camping Club as well as the Peace Lutheran Church in McCook.

Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her three step daughters, Cynthia (Raymond) Slaymaker of Denver, Colorado, Julie (Michael) Robbins of Lincoln, Nebraska and Jodi (John) Ettte also of Lincoln; brother, Dale (Beverly) Bailey of Trenton, Nebraska; sisters, Lola May (Roland) Wilke of Culbertson, Nebraska, Shirley (Byron) Peters of McCook, Nebraska and Twila (Roger) Olson of Grand Island, Nebraska; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 1--8 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tom Albertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery also in McCook.
