John Richard DePron

ST. FRANCIS, Kansas -- John Richard DePron, 87, of Bird City, Kansas, died Tuesday (June 5, 2012) at the Cheyenne County Hospital in St. Francis, Kansas.

He was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Glendo, Wyoming. He was a farmer and a public school custodian,

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lynnette DePron in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Hollis (Murray) DePron of Bird city, sons, Darwin DePron of Bird City, and Duane DePron of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daugher, Donita Clausen of South Haven, Kansas; sister, Ophie Heyden of Washington and four grandchildren,

Services are Saturday, June 9, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Bird City. Burial will be at the Bird City Cemetery with a military graveside service by the Naval Honor Guard.

Memorials may be given to the Cheyenne County EMT's.
